Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 1.5.0.9 When trying to adjust my settings the Options pop-up window is too small as only half the available fields are available and there is no scrollbar available so all can be visible. There is also a small red inverted V at the bottom left of each box. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on Tools 2.Click on Options 3.Click on display (all tabs are the same) Actual Results: The pop-up window appears as described above. Expected Results: Produced a pop-up window either long enough to display all fields or with a scrollbar. I have tried 4 different themes and the result is the same each time.

(In reply to comment #0) > There is also a small red inverted V at the > bottom left of each box. This sounds like there's an extension installed which is somehow breaking. Try running Thunderbird in Safe Mode -- do you still get the problem?

No, the problem does not appear to exist when using safe mode.

Alasdair, you'll have to figure out which of the extensions you have is causing the problem, be sure you've got the most up-to-date version of it, and then, if the problem is still occurring, file a bug report with the extension author.

OK thanks for all your help. I'll check each extension individually and locate the suspect.

I just downloaded (latest version) installed Thunderbird and I too am having this problem. I believe it is due to the Windows font size settings in Windows Display Properties. Upon testing this... I have discovered that it is the "Message Text" font size which apparently is used to calculate the size of the options window. I had mine set at Tahoma 7 ( pts / px ? ). Upon changing this size to 10 ( pts / px ? ) it was fine. Try it for yourselves :) Screenshots at: http://www.elklighting.com/stv/thunderbird_bug368960.html

I did some more testing, and its fine with font size 8 in Tahoma, so it may be just size 7 that causes problems... I don't know what Alasdair's font size was.

My font size was set to Ariel size 11, but I adjusted it to size 10, then after a cold reboot everything was fine. So I suppose this fault cane be closed down now, and I thank everyone for their assistance in resolving it.
