369160 - empty tooltip (tiny rectangle) on every folder marked read

There is now a strange empty tiny tooltip when hovering mouse over any non-shortened folder.
On folders which are shortened (i.e. folder pane is too small for them to fit) the tooltips work as usual.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Stretch the folder pane wide enough for folders to fit in
2. Hover the mouse cursor over any folder



I'm using the vertical layout.

This regressed on branch 2007-02-01 -> 2007-02-02. Looks like fallout from bug 367527.

(btw, there has been some similar problem on trunk for a while i think, that may be an unrelated bug)

This popup happens for me because I've got the alert customizations set to not show any individual message information (bug 360030 comment 13).
You can't turn the folder popup off at all (bug 360472), and it's not smart enough to not display itself when it has no content.

Not sure if this really counts as a regression; unless reporter here has some data shown in new-mail alerts, this almost certainly unrelated to 367527.

Mike,
the problem must be in something else, I'm using the full new mail alert (all three options checked). And it's not happening on folders with new unread messages (folder summary popups show there with all the info expected) - it happens on folders which are already read.
