User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Pressing cancel or ok in the properties window of a bookmark lets the properties window reappear again without anything changing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a webpage and the organize bookmarks window. 2. Right click and select the properties of the existing bookmark to be edited with the new webpage and let the properties window remain open while highlighting the existing bookmark's URL in the properties. 3. Press command-~ to reach webpage window. 4. Press command-L then command-C to select URL and copy it. 5. Press command-~ to return to organize bookmarks screen. The properties screen should remain there with the old URL still selected. 6. With the existing URL still highlighted, press command-V to paste the new URL which is to replace it. 7. Nothing seems to happen. 8. Pressing cancel or ok pops up the window again.
can anyone else reproduce this? or should i rephrase the above?
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.9a3pre) Gecko/20070218 Minefield/3.0a3pre There are several bugs open on Firefox not responding to the keyboard. Could yours be one of them? It might be a bit fiddly and need some attention, but are you able to carry out the copy and paste using the mouse? Also, do you think that Firefox is not redrawing the tabs? In which case does minimising the relevant window to the dock (you may find that Ctrl-M still works) and immediately picking it from the "Window' menu provide a (perhaps temporary) fix.
If this may help, 6. With the existing URL still highlighted, press command-V to paste the new URL which is to replace it. Replacing this step with right-click and paste using mouse, the problem no longer exists. But, with command-v, th problem is still there. However, I am not sure if this bug should be classified as being "Firefox not responding to the keyboard". There is actually a functionality loss at steps 7 & 8.

Bug 369532 "Copy and Paste between Firefox and PDF Save Dialogue partially broken" also has the "keyboard paste does not work, but contextual paste does" symptom, as you say a fix for the problem-in-common here may resolve a number of bugs (even if they are not strict duplicates) ...
