In the preferences of Thunderbird, there is nothing for the spellcheck (see attached pictures), if I click on download dictionaries, nothing happens, whereas an internet browser has been defined (it works for url in emails). Now if one go there http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/dictionaries.html to install some dictionaries, it does not work, thunderbird said it has been installed, but the preferences stay empty (of course after a restart of TB) (tested with the french and the en-gb dictonary. The dictionaries do not appear under "installed modules"
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install TB on Linux (Slackware)
2.Download a dictionary from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/dictionaries.html
3.Try to install it
Expected Results:
An entry should appear in the preferences, allowing to check the spelling during the composition of messages.

The dictionary needs updating to the 2.0 format. (Yes, it doesn't show any error when you try to install.)
