Details

Does "CVS: Copy" include "Move"?

On the CVS server backend, please move the contents of
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/ca-certificates/
to
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/certs/

This request comes out of bug 333272.

We don't move, we only copy. The requester will be responsible for cvs removing the files from the old location.

That said, we've never done copies on the cvs-www server before, and we're not set up to do so. Not saying we can't, just that it'd be a bit of work to set it up. I'm pretty sure the same scripts will work on rheet (rhel2.1), because we haven't made much in the way of changes to them on dm-cvs01 (rhel4) since they moved from megalon (rhel2.1).

What we need to make this happen is a text file containing a list of the source and destination pathnames in the cvs repository, including the leading mozilla-org/ on the pathname. Each line contains a source filename, a space, and a destination filename. Note that you need the entire filename, not just a destination directory. Do not include the trailing ,v extensions. You can take a peek at most of the other bugs in this component for examples.
Having looked, there's almost no history on these files. It's not worth the hassle. I'm just going to check them in again in the new place.
