There is no way of choosing this per message, other than checking the box and adding "select the quote" from the drop down menu, which allows you to delete the quoted message. This also deletes the signature. I suggest adding an option to the message context menu "reply with quotes" or "reply without quotes", when right clicking on the message. Further description on the reproduce. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. right click on a message 2. choose "reply to sender only", or "reply to all" which has a nested menu. 3. the extended menu will offer "with quotes" and "without quotes" Expected Results: If the user doesn't use the extended menu, the default behavior will be used, as set at the tools> account settings. If chosen, the replied email will include either the quotes or not.
In the reply message window, Options > Quote message. Or what?
Exactly, I use threading, so I've no use for previous messages to be always quoted (as I can see the whole thread if I need references to the correspondence, however, sometimes I need to directly reference something and want to quote it, without having to copy-paste. The other way would be comfortable, as if you have a wagon trail of nested quotes, and want to remove them for a specific email (like when I want to tell another friend about why not to send me another chain letter with a zillion people CCd there).
So, select not to quote by default and use Options > Quote message when you need to. Or are you saying that isn't a solution?
