Steps to reproduce: (1) Visit https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/832/ (2) Install the tinderstatus add-on. Assertion happens near the end of the installation, probably just as it's completing. Incompatible extension dialog will appear; this is normal. Also note we hit the assertion in bug 364423 as well. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a2pre) Gecko/0000000000 Minefield/3.0a2pre built from frozen 1.9a2 code

This should have been fixed by bug 406807 since xpinstall no longer uses threads
