Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Launch 1.5.0.6 - displays "Firefox has been updated!" page
Actual Results:
At some point - perhaps hours later - a software update alert pops up out of the blue (especially distracting if you're using another app)
Expected Results:
As per AHIG, user is notified at launch

Rob, I would tend to say it's a dupe of bug 323041?

Bug 323041 doesn't really conform with the hig unless I'm mistaken. We may want to notify on startup (at least where the platform hig specifies this is the proper time to notify) as the Add-ons Manager does at some point in the future.

This bug has outlived its usefulness so resolving as wontfix. If anyone thinks this should still be implemented please file a new bug.
