I am using imap with several depths of folders.
The existence or not o a folder in "Recent Folders", a welcome change in 2.0, is inconsistent. After moving a mail to an existing folder, the destination folder sometimes starts to exist in "Recent folders", band othertimes it dowsn'.
I have not been able yet to identify any logic in it.
I frequently use folders 4 times deep "Clientes/Admp_Publica/Min_Ciencia/Biocant", for instance.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.I really do not know.
Use IMAP. Use 4 layers of depth in folders
2.
3.
Expected Results:
Everytime i move a message to a folder it should show up in Recent Folders

I confirm this with version 2.0.0.6 (20071022).
When I move messages to a folder, or visit folder, the folder is not always added to the recent list.
The semantics of "Recent" are not very clear. Does it mean a folder that new mail has been added to (by filters)? A folder that I've recently selected to view messages in? A folder that I've moved or copied messages to/from?

Also note: I'm using SMTP, not IMAP.
A folder in "Local Folders" is not added to Recent, but s subfolder of one in Local Folders (actually 2-3 layers deep) is in Recent.

My understanding is "A folder that I've moved or copied messages to/from".
Actually, I observed such a behavior myself just now. My first guess was that the folder was not added to the list "because" it has subfolders.

question: do you still see this problem?
I have a frequently used 3-deep local folder and it appears in "move again" shortcut and it appears in "recent folders". But it does not appear on
move to > recent
Need to determine if there really is an issue with "deep folders", separate from bug 370324. Or whether new bug is needed.

With Thunderbird 3.0 b2 I still have the same problem - both with "move again to" and "recent folders" . Three layers deep folder.
