User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; fr; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; fr; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1

In some sites where I have a personal account like <http://netclub.fr/> or <http://www.bouyguestelecom.fr/> some .ASP web pages are not opened.

Depending of the site I have a dialog box to ask me what I want to do : Save on the disk or Open withe Active Server Document (defaut). With other web sites this dialog box doesn't appeared and Dreamweaver try to open it but there is no way.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Problem to explain this : it is personal account and this typical ASP pages is very private.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
My MacOSX identify the .ASP file to be open by Dreamweaver (because I have Dreamweaver software on my mac)... and then this issue is bad : the OS work slowly and after 1 or 2 minutes to try launch Dreamweaver MacOS is blocked (it is not a kernel panic but the mac is totally busy and blocked, no more way).

Expected Results:
Normally the same clic - tested with Opera and Safari - is opening the .asp web page, why not with FireFox... ?

My MacOS X is MacOS 10.2.8

My bug is like <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=321524> but if I'm trying to save the ASP file with the HTML extension... it is not a HTML file (no HTML tags).
This sounds like a server side problem and not a firefox bug. Can you provide an example url that displays the download dialog?
Dear Dave,

I'm happy to have read your answer.
I'm agree with you about your thinking. At first, it's a server side problem because a requete of an .ASP page can mask any type of file (PDF, RAM, etc).

In my personnal accounts (netclub.fr and bouyguestelecom.fr) normally the request of the .ASP file return a PDF file. But Firefox2/Mac doesn't decode the header of this PDF file.
My Bouyguestelecom's hotliner tell me an information : this disordre doesn't exist with Firefox under Windows.

I give you a new example : to listen an extract in a Real file of a CD on french shopping website <http://www.fnac.com/> try this URL :
http://multimedia.fnac.com/multimedia/asp/audio.asp?Z=Ostinato&Y=1890593&T=Symphonie+Sully+-+1er+mouvement&N=Tingaud&P=Jean-Luc&M=Philips+classics&E=0028944285123&V=1&I=1&G=E&audio=/3/2/1/0028944285123A01.ra

With Safari or Opera, this audio file is well received and opened and I can listen the music but not with Firefox2/Mac.

Dave, thank again for your attention. Best regards Bruno
I also face similar problems in accessing .asp pages under firefox [3.0.4].The pages open up fine under IE.
