Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1

Re windows buttons top RHS toolbar. The 'maximize' 'minimize' buttons work but the 'Restore down' does not. It toggles between the single box and the double box icon, but the window does not reduce in size.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on the middle of the three buttons
2.Click again
3.
Actual Results:
When the 2 box icon is present and is clicked, the window moves slightly but does not reduce in size as epected to with this command

Expected Results:
The current webpage window should reduce to around half size.
Do you mean: when you resize the window by dragging it smaller it doesn't remember the size?

No I am referring to clicking on the 3 boxes/buttons on the (top) RHS of the toolbar. One can minimize the current window, one can return it to full screen (maximize) the other (with 2 boxes layered as an icon) should be able to reduce the current window to ?half size, (so that you can see the desktop underneath) Interestingly I also cannot drag any part of this window either
Indeed, I was talking about this Windows function. Normally you can only drag it smaller (or drag the window) when you first click the middle positioned button. If that doesn't work click the button once more. After resizing Firefox will remember the preferred size.

Yes that has fixed it. As an extra. I was only seeking this function as I could not work out how to save a URL link to the desktop as a shortcut. The lack of this function had me close to returning to 'the dark side' IE7. I was following Mozilla's instructions, but I could not drag it to the desktop, if I could not 'see' the desktop. I finally found the deskCut add on. Hopefully deskCut will be a feature of later 'builds'. Many thanks
