Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Build Identifier: version 2 beta 2 (20070116) I first noticed this problem in Firefox, but haven't been able to reproduce it reliably there, so I'm just filing this bug with the thought that the fix may be somewhere in the shared architecture. When the main Mail & Newsgroups window is minimized to the dock, I cannot create new message windows. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Thunderbird 2. Minimize the main Mail & Newsgroups window by clicking on the button in the title bar or by typing Command+M 3. From the File menu, choose New->Message 4. Type Command+N 5. Close the message window that opens up 6. Type Command+N 7. In the File menu, highlight "New" 8. Restore the main Mail & Newsgroups window by clicking on the thumbnail in the dock or by choosing it from the Window menu Actual Results: Step 3: Nothing happens Step 6: Nothing happens Step 7: The first four options (Message, Folder, Saved Search, Account) are grayed out Expected Results: Step 3: A new message window appears Step 6: A new message window appears Step 7: The options appear active, and choosing Message causes a new message window to appear Again, I saw similar behavior in Firefox first and think it may be related to bug 207120 (where that user was seeing a blank window, I wasn't getting any window at all). I wasn't able to reproduce the behavior reliably in the latest 3.0 alpha of Firefox though.

These commands are now properly disabled for me when the Thunderbird window is minimized. If you're still seeing them enabled in a trunk nighty, feel free to reopen.
