Details
The Mail-Copies-To header allows a poster to request that a Cc of a news post be mailed (either to the Reply-To/From address or to a specified address), or that there not be a Cc sent (at least not without warning the person attempting to do so that the person he is replying to didn't want one). Some people always want a Cc, some people never want a Cc, and some people will want one to specific messages.

this is not an account manager bug. Please use the appropriate component. reassign to ducarroz

I do think this would be a cool feature though... The places we'd have to add: - a dropdown in the compose window which allows you to set this header - support for this when replying to messages - possibly a pref which was the default Mail-Reply-To header for the current identity.

Would be nice, if Mozilla would at least honor the header.

MCT is included in the latest USEFOR draft. I could see how support for "nobody" could be a bit of a problem, but how hard would it be to add support for "poster"?

Just found another newsreader that honors the header (Dialog), and thought I'd mention it in case anyone is interested...

(In reply to comment #6) > Just found another newsreader that honors the header (Dialog), and > thought I'd mention it in case anyone is interested... If I recall correctly, the following newsreaders all honor the header: - Agent - XNews - slrn - Gnus (since 1996) Outlook Express behaves like Mozilla MailNews, but it hides the option of replying to both newsgroups and sender in a menu. Amazing that this just is left alone for 8-9 years, though.
