Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1
When doing Tools->Options->Security->Show Passwords, clicking on Show Passwords does not do anything. On Windows XP, another window pops up asking to show the passwords (unhide them) and if you say yes, the stored passwords are shown. This also worked on Mozilla 1.7 on Windows 2000 and Windows 98.
This same behaviour occurs under Window 98 SE.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Tools
2.OPtions
3.Security
4. Show Passwords
5. Show Passwords
Actual Results:
Nothing happens.
Expected Results:
It should unhide (i.e., show) the saved passwords.
See expected results.

Did you run a very recent 1.5.0.10 or 2.0.0.2 version on the same profile?
If so, revert to that version. If not, try for instance this: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=493210&

I was talking about Bug 360493. If you find a signons2.txt file in your profile, the passwords are not displayed anymore in Firefox 2.0.1.

No response, closing as INCOMPLETE.
Also try to reproduce the problem in Safe Mode (with Extensions disabled). It sounds like you might be copying your profile between systems... If you've manually copying files between profiles, you'll need to copy both signons2.txt and key3.db to have your logins continue to work.
