User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en; rv:1.8.1.2pre) Gecko/20070216 Camino/1.1a2+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en; rv:1.8.1.2pre) Gecko/20070216 Camino/1.1a2+ If you visit www.caminobrowser.org and other websites. You will notice that in spite of a paragraph of text using the same fonts and styles, that the character spacing will be inconsistent. For example, on the Camino homepage under "Why use Camino?", you'll notice multiple instances of the text "Camino". Yet, each iteration is character-spaced differently. Some instances have excess spacing after the "i" in "Camino" and some after the "m". I am using a fresh install of the nightly build (and I expect bugs) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit www.caminobrowser.org or another website with a lot of text. 2. Observe. 3. File bug? :) Actual Results: See details. Expected Results: Correctly and consistently space characters. Thanks for working on such a cool web browser! This is a default install of the 2/16/2007 nightly build on a 10.4.8 1st generation Intel MacBook Pro. It is fully patched as of 2/16/2007.
This is a dupe, but I can't find it.

I couldn't find a prior bug report on this behavior, either.
This is specifically related to Lucida Grande/Lucida Grande Bold, which doesn't have the best metrics to begin with, and is a bit wonkier in Gecko ≤ 1.8.1. This should be fixed on the trunk by Cairo, and if we can't find the other bug on this, we'll just mark this WFM.
I still can't find the other bug, so closing this WFM based on the trunk.
