Start the installer. In the Setup Type choose Browse...
Now open fx the "C:\Program Files" folder.
Now click on "Program Files" again. Suddenly the text changes from "Program 
Files" to "PROGRAM FILES"
Target Milestone: --- → M18
reproduced on WIn2k machine

I dont think this is a Mozilla installer problem only...

I tried with an old Communicator installer and N6 installer on Win2k- believe 
this is functionality of win2k, not a problem with installers- double click 
changes to upper case
bug should probably be marked invalid?
NO!
iirc Windows NT does not guarantee case insensitivity.
The correct solution is MSI.
And timeless needs sleep.

grace: this is invalid, right? I think other installer do the same thing...
I agree, I tried another Installer today (JRE) and it does the same thing on 
Win2k
not a moz bug...
