User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a3pre) Gecko/20070211 SeaMonkey/1.5a Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a3pre) Gecko/20070211 SeaMonkey/1.5a SeaMonkey 1.5a is breaking descenders, adding extra width on characters, sheering/ripping a line of text, and missing/misprinting characters. This especially happens while typing and editing or if there's a dialog box or DHTML that modifies or overlays the text. Also, when printing, the fonts often appear as solid black bars. Occurs on several different builds of 1.5a (even fresh installs in a new directory with a new profile) but doesn't occur at all with 1.1. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to a page with some editing (like https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi) or some DHTML (like http://news.yahoo.com) 2. Occasional glyphs are misprinted, especially when first displayed. Seems to occur often when typing 'm's. 3. Part of the display problem is trivial, but the broken printing is important.
Created attachment 255868 [details] Example of font problems (screen grabs and scans) Attaching example of what I'm seeing. Several screen snapshots combined into one image, plus a clip from a printout.

I haven't seen this problem in a LONG time. I'd normally change to WFM but I'm not sure about the graveyard.
