When you check a task as complete, the task remains on the To Do list after checking it and the start and end dates have long passed.

The task should either disappear or move to a new completed tasks tab. As it is now, completed and remaining tasks are interspersed, reducing the usefulness of the list.
Bug 310258 added an option to hide completed tasks. Resolve as duplicate?
Agree... Peter, if you want different behaviour of SB/lightning like auto-archiving of completed tasks, I suggest you file an enhancement-request. This could be something for an extension...
