User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1) Gecko/20061204 Firefox/2.0.0.1 When opening any file, e.g. pdfs by clicking on a link to a pdf file, the file is saved on the desktop and never deleted again. Result: An extremely clogged Desktop with files not meant to be saved. Changing the folder for files to be saved in doesn't help either. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to any pdf link 2. Open the file with firefox 3. Close firefox and the file. Actual Results: => File still on desktop. Expected Results: => File should be deleted after closing firefox or not saved on desktop at all!

This is fixed - there is a preference that you can set in about:config. See the thread at http://kalsey.com/2006/02/temporary_files_in_firefox_on_osx/comments.html for some info on how to enable the pref.
