371632 - Keep getting same tabs on start up after last Mozilla Firefox update

A few days ago, after receiving my 'available update' notice for Firefox, I updated my system and restarted my computer as instructed.  Ever since then, whenever I start or restart my computer, when I start my Firefox browser it brings up my original Yahoo groups home page, plus the 'congratulations' on Firefox update tab plus a second tab of my Yahoo groups home page.

I've closed all tabs before restarting and the result is consistently the same when I do restart.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Download the latest Mozilla Firefox update
2.Restart computer as instructed
3.Open Firefox browser
Actual Results:  
Happens every time I reopen Firefox browser since the last update a few days ago

Expected Results:  
It should only open on my one tab of my one home page.

I assume resetting the value of browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone in about:config will help or else, delete the line in prefs.js in your profile.

Actually, I did my weekly run of "Registry Mechanic" and, lo and behold, the problem seems to be fixed; the first and only image in my browser now is my original Yahoo home page.  TA DAAAAA!!!!  Good old Registry Mechanic!!!
