User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; pl-PL; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2 Build Identifier: Actually when you open task dialog start and due date are not checked and set. But repeat dropdown menu is enabled and it shouldn't. Reproducible: Always lightning-wcap.xpi (26/02/2007) Thunderbird version 2.0pre (20070226)

IMO it makes sense to e.g. specify VTODOs with only DUE and RRULE. So I think we should disable the recurrence specifier only if neither start nor due is set (referring to bug 383462 here).

Decathlon, this seems like the kind of bug that might interest you. If your time is limited, I'd appreciate reviews first though :-)
I actually prefer the way this works now - the repeat drop-down is always enabled, but changing the repeat setting to a value other than "Does not repeat" causes the Start Date to be set, and prevents it from being unset by disabling the checkbox. Also I think that if the repeat drop-down is initially disabled for new tasks, the reason why might not be clear to the user. My vote is WONTFIX.
Ah right, makes sense. I misread this bug, it sounded like it was possible to create VTODOs without a DTSTART but with a RRULE.
