In Remora the developer center is the only place where you can see download numbers. While one can argue about the importance of these numbers, if they are used for sorting (popular add-ons) they have to be displayed somewhere, at the very least on the add-on info page.
I think shaver had an idea for where on the public side he wanted to put these numbers, if anywhere?
Daily downloads dropped by a half since Remora is out. I think there is some kind of urgency here.

The 3.2 redesign covers this. Assigning to morgamic, because he has actually already done this on the redesign branch, IIRC.

Also, Archaeopteryx pointed out that they are even publicly accessible right now already through the API. Closing this, then. Thanks, everyone.

Wait, doesn't this bug refer to displaying the counts on the add-on info page? If that's the case, I don't see where they are displayed right now, in order to justify a RESOLVED FIXED status for this bug.
Okay I guess, we should wait then until the redesign is actually public, in spite of the fix already being checked in. Will close this after release.

Where's this API? I've never heard of it before, and can't find anything from searching. The original bug report was for displaying the numbers publicly, at least when sorting by them, and there's no indication that that's the case with the redesign (that I've seen, anyway). Could you at least confirm that they are shown in the public listings?
