User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2 This bug has rendered Firefox virtually useless to enter web forms, and this for at least an entire country!!! Let me explain: On a Belgian keyboard you need to hit "Alt Gr" + "2", to get the "@"-sign. (To fill out this email form, I actually had to cut and paste this character !!!) So any time I want to enter my email address or an accented character in a form, Firefox opens menus and becomes unresponsive. For any web transaction, I have to resort to *pera now... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a web page containing a form field 2.On a Belgian keyboard, hit "Alt Gr" + "2" (not on the NumPad) or any other "Alt Gr" key combination 3. Actual Results: A Firefox menu pops up. Firefox becomes unresponsive, also in other Firefox windows or tabs. All Firefox windows need to be closed and Firefox restarted in order to recover from this problem. Expected Results: Print the corresponding "@"-character in the form field (or an accented letter in the case of a different "Alt Gr" key combination.
Does it do this in firefox's safemode? - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
No, the problem does not occur in safe mode.
Then the problem is most likely down to an extension, theme or user setting. I'd put my money on an extension-related issue.
--> WORKSFORME since it works in safemode

I am using latest nightly build, and a german keyboard (with the same Alt Gr combinations) and I also cannot reproduce it.
I am no seeing that it is not in every form that the problem is occurring. So I am no longer sure whether the problem occurs in safe mode. As soon as I get along a form where the error occurs again, I will send an update here with the exact URL and whether I can repeat it in safe mode.
OK good stuff. This bug can easily be re-opened if it's reproducible in safemode.
