***** observed with 2000-04-26 build *****
Steps to reproduce:
-open new mail;
-type some text into the Subject field ;
-select and copy the string (Ctrl+C);
- try to paste into the same field or into the body;
//note: nothing happens (guess it is general copy/paste bug)

I would say it's a generic problem of new textfield element. Reassign to Ben,
