I'm actually assuming that it doesn't, since I know of no SVG content on MDC yet. It seems a fair assumption though considering that no SVG servers out there are configured for SVG out of the box. What needs to happen is that the Content-type/Content-encoding headers need to be set correctly. See http://wiki.svg.org/Server_Configuration

So given this statement "since I know of no SVG content on MDC yet", why do we need to enable this? Are we planning on adding svg content? Perhaps you could add some so we could test once completed.

Indeed. That's why I've marked this as being blocked by bug 373103. Once that's fixed I'll upload some SVG. ;-)

Oh, and yes. We'd like to add SVG content in the form of an interactive SVG tutorial (to start with).
