Details

User-Agent:       Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)
Build Identifier: version 2.0pre (20070309)

Multiple-line mail headers appear to be be badly processed, e.g.

Subject: Little black
<HTAB>box

Is being rendered in the GUI (classic view) as "Little blackXbox" wit a little black box X.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Have a mail with <HTAB>-folded subject header listed in the classic view, e.g. Thunderbird 1.5.0.10 creates such subject headers.

Actual Results:
The little black box is shown.

Expected Results:
The subject should be restored without a <HTAB> and should be displayed correctly.
Summary: Problem rendring multiple-line (folded) mail headers → Problem rendering multiple-line (folded) mail headers
Headers folded like this also fail do decode if they are quoted-printable (may be other encodings too).

I found this in the following Subject header,
Which IS displayed in a single line but without decoding as shown here:

Subject: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Toque=20da=20Patr=EDcia=20-=20Mar=E7o,
<HTAB>=20m=EAs=20Internacional=20da=20Mulher=20-=20Natura?=
> Subject: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Toque=20da=20Patr=EDcia=20-=20Mar=E7o,
> <HTAB>=20m=EAs=20Internacional=20da=20Mulher=20-=20Natura?=

This is not a legal MIME encoding.
