I tried with icewm, gnome and kde, with the same result. Os is Mandriva 2007. Is it different on other linuxes ? (fedora ..) Additionnal information: Not sure about the version, but I believe this bug was not in the version 1 and appeared in the 1.5 version

Yes, I upgraded to thunderbird 188.8.131.52 and this bug is solved: when thunderbird is running, iconified in the taskbar and when the thunderbird command is launched again, the thunderbird main window is showed. I believed it was solved in the first 2.0 release. ps: did not change the resolution to FIXED as I'm not sure I can do that..
rt, resolution FIXED is only for when you know which patch fixed it
