373592 - Very poor quality of the scaled down application icons

The application icons used in the "works with" field are scaled down in the browser from 64x64 to 32x32. Browsers are generally not very good at scaling images, consequently the result is quite bad. See the attachment - above is the current version from preview.addons.mozilla.org, below the one from addons.mozilla.org.

Oh, I didn't realize that the WinXP resizing code sucks so much.

I fixed it in r2572, which should soon show up on remora.stage.

Better but still definitely worse than it was before. Reopening bug. Why don't you simply take the old icons?

oh, true, for Fx and Tb I could do that. (Not for Sb and Sm as far as I can see). Committed, SVN r2573.

There was already a SeaMonkey icon: https://addons.mozilla.org/images/seamonkey_icon.png. So you only need to find a decent Sunbird icon. http://markcarson.com/MarkCarson/Asp/SunbirdIcons.asp has them (resizing an icon is generally a bad idea).

There is still a problem with the Firefox icon. It is 34x34 but is resized to 32x32 in the browser. Maybe make 34x34 the size of choice? Ideally you would add a shadow to the 32x32 Sunbird icon (that's the two additional pixels) since the other icons have one as well.
