Build Identifier:
Suppose I have a Group of People which are associated which I'd like to have filtered into a specific mailbox (say family members). Instead of creating a seperate filter for each family member and repeating the analysis over and over again.
Why not have a type of filter where I can define a set (i.e. Family members) if the search criteria matches this set (i.e. dad@isp1, mom@isp2, sister-differentlastname@isp3, etc), then perform the action.
Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
This is a feature I've been missing in Eudora and I haven't searched for it Thunderbird, b/c IMHO Thunderbird is a lot worse than Eudora.

In Eudora you can use the 'Intersects Nickname' and 'Intersects Addressbook' filters to accomplish what you are doing. Thunderbird allows you to have as many match conditions as you want for each filter, so it already does (sort of) what you want.
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=359257 is to add the 'intersects nickname/address book' filter to Penelope, so please vote for that bug.

I don't think that feature is on the Mac version. (I'll vote for that bug)

It's been in Mac Eudora for at least 2 years if not longer. Probably longer.
