Add-on edit form doesn't have a default action

Details
If you click "Edit Add-on", change the extension name and press Enter the page will be reloaded by your changes not saved. Problem is that the default action is "show form" and storing data requires user to click the Update button so that the corresponding field is present in the data sent to the server. I think this form should default to "update" for all POST requests.
