Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv: Gecko/20070219 Firefox/

Every time a page loads or reloads at this site, a popup occurs the next time that you click anywhere on the page. For example, every time I click on "Next" in the photo gallery, I get a popup (or pop-under) the next time I click on something.

The popups load a flash ad for Netflix, the title bar reads "c1.zedo.com - UndertoneNetworks.com"

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to http://abc.go.com/primetime/octoberroad/
2.Click on link to another page within site, or on next photo, or just click "reload page"
3.Click anywhere on the page after that -- Presto! A popup
Actual Results:
I get a popup window.

Expected Results:
Block the fricken popup.

I use the Flashblock plugin, ver. 1.5.2. It blocks the Flash ad within the popup window, but not the window itself.

As I understand Fx's pop-up blocker, any pop-up that results directly from a
click is considered "user-requested". It can't tell the difference between
a click on the "next" button to display a useful pop-up dialog box and a
click on the "next" button to display a pop-up advertisement.

I'm aware of what you are referring to, but that wasn't the problem. The problem was that a popup would be generated when I clicked anywhere, including a blank area on the page. No buttons or links required. I've never encountered popup behavior like that anywhere before or since.

Anyway, it's a moot point, because I can no longer reproduce the bug. I'll change it to Resolved.

I see probably the same issue with this web page of a premiere newspaper in Germany: http://www.faz.net/.

Click on some of the news, a pop-under is likely to appear despite Firefox being set to open new windows always in a Tab, *and* despite a popup blocker active.
You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
