About half of the signed emails I receive from other Thunderbird & SeaMonkey
users arrive showing invalid signatures, because the message was altered by
an MTA while in transit, or at its destination. Common alterations include:
- changing line endings
- removing trailing spaces from lines
- converting from 8-bit to 7-bit encodings.
- Appending a mailing list blurb to the end of message text.

There have been many bugs filed about various aspects of this problem.
This bug exists to track the others.

closing as this never tracked more than one bug (which also hasn't been updated in 8 years).
