Lonely Planet recently updated the search engine used to index their data from lucene to an endeca based solution. Unfortunately this has broken the lonelyplanet search add-on found at https://addons.mozilla.org/search-engines.php

We've created a new search plugin based on the opensearch standard which can be found on "http://mycroft.mozdev.org/" reference "ref 16005" is it possible to have the search-engines.php page updated to use the new LP search add on?

We've updated the old search plugin, this will take about 24 hours to flow through from the mycroft site.

Users with the search plugin already installed should get the update in around 7 days.

Sorry, still broken I think the page https://addons.mozilla.org/search-engines.php has a cached copy of the search add on.

How would someone go about updating search-engines.php so that so that it references the new search addon? in this case ref: 16026 (lonelyplanet)

cheers
Jerome

Hi Jerome,

We're replacing the search-engines page you linked to very shortly (on march 22nd), and the current site is frozen, so we aren't editing the content. I've pulled your update into our new site, which you can verify here:

http://preview.addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:4

(Note: the enlarged icon is a side effect of some other code we're working on. It will be fixed shortly.)
