User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; pt-BR; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; pt-BR; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070219 Firefox/2.0.0.2 The last digit representing the bar code cannot be typed in the proper field, in order to pay an account via web banking, because the digit I type is located and highlighted in the sequence already typed. As soon as the spell check box in the Options menu is unchecked the problem desapears. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Check the box in Menu/Tools/Option/Advanced/Spell check. 2.Log in a bank account. 3.Type the sequence of numbers corresponding to the bar code of a document to be paid. Actual Results: The last digit (number) couldn´t be typed because the cursor jumped to locate the (last) mumber I typed and highlighted that same number in the sequence already typed. Expected Results: It should have allowed me to type the last number in the proper place.
Is your banking site the only site you're having this problem on? what is the last character you're typing that is causing the problem?
spell-check should only work for textareas (multi-line boxes, like the comment fields here in bugzilla), not text input fields. Your bank uses a textarea for entering bar codes? With the English dictionary it doesn't spell-check anything that has numbers in it, even if there are letters mixed in. I don't know why spell-check is even involved here. We obviously are not all that likely to find a developer with an account at your bank. Would it be possible for you to capture a copy of the page for us? 1) from the File menu, choose Save Page As... 2) from the Save As dialog change the "Save as type:" box to say "Web Page, complete". pick an easy to remember filename, like bug374564.html 3) In the saved location you should find both bug374564.html and a directory bug374564_files. We need to see both the .html file and everything in the _files directory. You probably want to look and them in an editor and delete any personal information, but please only delete text like account numbers and amounts, do not delete any structural elements (HTML tags like <form>, <input>, <script>) 4) using a zip program like winzip, bundle these together and then upload them to this bug using the "Add an attachment" link above.

Just to note, and I didn't catch this at the time (or was waiting for the user to respond) but this isn't a spell check issue, this is a quicksearch/fayt issue.
