I will post this bug to Apple as well. Normally, Fn + End is a keyboard shortcut for Mute, and Fn + PgUp and Fn + PgDwn are volume up and volume down respectively, but when both programs are open, a single keyboard tap is interpreted as double-tap, for instance, Fn + End mutes volume when keys are pressed, and then unmutes it again when keys are released. The same goes for volume up and down, on press the volume is incremented once, on release again. I updated firefox at the same time (approx) as itunes so like I said, I will post the bug to them as well. Happy hunting! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open firefox on dell inspiron 1300 2. Open Itunes 3. Hit play in Itunes 4. Hit stop in Itunes 5. Switch focus back to Firefox 6. Hold down Fn-key and hit End for mute and there you have it Actual Results: on key combo press volume mutes, on release volume is unmuted again Expected Results: key combo press and release should be interpreted as one unit

Did you mean to assign this samuel?
Oh, whoops, no... Not sure how that happened.

using FF 3.5 beta, do you still see this? looks invalid. fn+end on my Dell D531 repeats predictably, quickly just like any other key. with proper timing, it can appear that *releasing* the key changes the mute setting
