How does one go about getting files removed? It could be really hard to work out everyone who might be using something and see that they are not. It is hard to prove a negative. But then again, this is powerplant. This is very last millennium, yes? Or is there some other, more current, powerplant? I got the list of all the classes defined in the source. I grep-ed for them in the dist directory of a browser I build. The PromptService shows up, but that is built elsewhere. Nothing else shows up. What else should I try to be diligent about this? I removed the directory and built. I can do the same and build mail, calendar, minimo, xulrunner, and so on. I only have a Mac right now, but I cannot check everything. And there really is no way to do a correlation with available tools? No way to ask what files link to what files? No? So what is required to suggest that it would be ok to remove this? Keeping it around, like a snail growing algae on its back, does not seem to be the thing to do.

You're right, it doesn't seem to have been touched (other than tree-wide changes) since ccarlen was making changes in 2003 or so. I'm not sure who needs to sign off on this, maybe Brendan?

I don't need to sign off on module-private cvs removals, especially of dead Mac OS9 or older code. Remove at will. /be
I do not have cvs write access. Can someone who does remove these? Thanks.
