RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 338527

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3
Build Identifier: Lightning 0.5pre (2007032603)

When using a Squid authenticating proxy for Thunderbird, remote calendars are not automatically loaded on startup. This is happening despite the fact that the remote calendars are from internal URLs (which do do not require proxy authentication) and also despite the fact that proxy credentials were provided anyway for other external resources (e.g. RSS feeds).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Setup Thunderbird to use authenticating proxy
2. Install latest Lightning and setup one or more remote calendars which have events
3. Restart Thunderbird
Actual Results:
Calendar events are not loaded unless user right-clicks and chooses "Reload remote calendars..."

Expected Results:
Calendar events loaded

I do now know whether this also applies to Sunbird.
This sounds similar to Bug 338527.
How did you configured the proxy in Thunderbird? Is there a similar error message in JavaScript console during startup as in Bug 338527?
You're right, thanks. Apparently I didn't search thoroughly enough; bug 338527 does indeed appear to be the same issue.
