This bug is a spinoff from bug #375721:
"Password Manager doesn't handle Windows Live ID logins correctly. As a result, the email/password must be typed in by hand everytime Live ID requests a re-login (and that's becoming more and more frequent, thanks to Microsoft's adjustments.)"
I was told that this is due to autocomplete=off being set on that page. However, it would be a great enhancement to add a well-visible (so not about:config) pref whether to honor autocomplete=off or not (e.g. "Use Password Manager on pages with autocomplete disabled").
