Seamonkey always states that it isn't the default browser on startup.

I have tried all combinations of setting 'Yes' and 'Always check on startup', 'Yes' and unticking the checking box, selecting 'No' and trying with box ticked and unticked and just going for 'Cancel'.

Whichever one is choosen it never seems to remember the option and will come up with the box on startup again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Seamonkey from either quick-start or using 'gmail' icon in taskbar.

The software should remember my preference and open without the default box appearing every time.

Confirming based on dupes.
One workaround for that is (at least AFAIK) running SeaMonkey once as Administrator, then opening the Preferences window and clicking on the "Set Default Browser" button. This should work, at least if you want SeaMonkey to be your default browser.

I think it worked for Andre R., but as I do not have Vista, I also cannot test this.

Not really. I've reinstalled it because of an startup error based on an failed installation of the 2.0a1. I've never seen the message box since i've done this.
