User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv: Gecko/20070309 Firefox/
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv: Gecko/20070309 Firefox/

The problem occurs if I select the 'Acrobat PDF Writer' (part of full Acrobat 5, and installed with that name) as a printer from the dropdown menu in Print(note the space between 'PDF' and 'Writer'). It then prints to the Writer once, but every time I try later (even after a reboot), I get the message 'The Printer could not be found'. I have, however, sorted it - there were several ways. 1) Go into about:config and change 'print.print_printer' to default. However, the fault always recurs after using Acrobat. 2) Set 'print.save_print_settings' to FALSE. Solved if I don't want to use Acrobat a second time in this session, but it will always go to the default printer. 3)The Acrobat Writer filename in the standard Windows printer dialogue is 'Acrobat PDFWriter' (note NO space). Removing the space sorted the problem which, ISTR, occurred with IE6 as well. However, exiting IE6 and re-entering comes back with the default printer, so no real problem.

So the bug isn't really yours! However, you might like to consider resetting to the default printer if the program can't find the target printer.

Otherwise, thanks for a great browser! I need to keep IE6 for my bank (needs ActiveX), but I try to use it as little as possible.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select 'Acrobat PDF Writer' in Print drop-down
2. 'Print' to the PDF file - works this time only
3. Try to print anything again - get the 'Printer cannot be found' message
Actual Results:
Cannot print again from Firefox - typing CNTL-P just gives the error message - cannot even enter the dialogue box to see what's going on. All are printers available in other programs.

Expected Results:
If the printer could not be found, try the default printer.

I've suggested 'Normal - a bug that should be fixed' below since anyone who gets into this situation is unlikely to know where to go and might ditch Firefox - I was tempted to. It was only by accident that I found a link in Google that suggested opening about:config, which doesn't seem to be mentioned in the Help pages, but was the ONLY way to get out of the problem originally. I've now put about:config as a bookmark in the Mozilla folder - you might like to do that during installation as a default.

Been using Mozilla for some time now, with every thing functioning fine. Within last few weeks I get "printer not found". I have not added any new software or hardware. When I attempt to print info from within the browser I get: "printer not found" ..... My system works with Internet xplorer, but I want FireFox!!.
Cannot find a 'help' or direction to a 'config' area that might address this problem. (plenty of memory & using Win 98 SE, ran a browse update down load last week)
