STR: 1. Enter https://addons.mozilla.org/ into the location bar of Firefox 2.0.0.3 on my intel macbook (nonpro) Expected: Open AMO Actual: alert appears saying: *Alert* addons.mozilla.org has sent an incorrect or unexpected message. Error Code -12263 Reproducible: It was reproducible for any AMO url I tried for about ten minutes. It worked fine on Safari on the same machine, and it worked fine on my windows Fx 2003 install, which is on the same network (same router, same external IP address). Right now I can't reproduce it anymore. :-(
page at the URL says this means: "SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length." This generally indicates that the remote peer system has a flawed implementation of SSL, and is violating the SSL specification.
I can't reproduce this and it sounds like even the original reporter can't anymore, so I'm closing this for now -- it's possible it was a transient server issue. If someone does figure out how to reproduce it feel free to reopen!
