Only one with "Tagging a message then trying to move to a folder. This happens OFTEN on three different T-Bird 2.0 beta2 installs (2 PC, 1 Mac). Usually it just kind of hangs up the IMAP and you can't move the message or read anything else until you go out and back" ... don't know if this is really the TB related to the bug

Thanks for the great report, Jean-Michel. The code that uses the URL Classifier landed in Thunderbird back in November of '06, so this regression (assuming it is one) might have been caused by some recent changes to the URL Classifier itself. It doesn't look like there are any crashes with this signature for Firefox...

OK, so it looks like this crash has been around for a while in both Firefox2, Thunderbird2 and ThunderbirdTrunk (since Dec. '06, which would be the oldest incidents in the DB). It occurs much more often in Thunderbird than Firefox, though.
This sounds like bug 366528 or bug 321024. Last time I looked at it (a while ago) I wasn't able to reproduce on Firefox on OSX. It looks like it happens a lot more frequently to tbird, so I can try to repro there (may take some time as I learn how to checkout/build).

Maybe bug 321024 ... i don't know if the fix of version in trunk (1.21 of nsUrlClassifierDBService.cpp http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsblame.cgi?file=mozilla/toolkit/components/url-classifier/src/nsUrlClassifierDBService.cpp&rev=1.21&root=/cvsroot ) can fix this bug on the branch ... yet got 2 crash in the last week: TB31486211G TB30912606Y (same stack)

Scott, David, this bug is on rank 14 of the topcrasher list for Thunderbird 2.0. Do you see any chance to get this fixed for the 1.8 branch? See comment 5 for a possible fix.

Version 1.21 of nsUrlClassifierDBService.cpp didn't fix the crash for firefox.

Every stack I examined on talkback is the same nsUrlClassifierDBService::Shutdown nsUrlClassifierDBService::Observe NS_ShutdownXPCOM_P ScopedXPCOMStartup::~ScopedXPCOMStartup main kernel32.dll + 0x43833 (0x761a3833) ntdll.dll except some lack the "ntdll.dll". Most are in user initiated shutdown - but there are two other common themes - user sending and deleting mail, eg TB37789267 send (vista) TB37749864 send (XP) TB37373273 deleting junk e-mail. TB37224597 reading and deleting TB37404411 using Dragon NaturallySpeaking Isn't it odd that the stack is so short, like it got stomped on? And that users who were not shutting down got the _same_ stack? Sorry, but i don't get this crash anymore because i got an other crash at shutdown ... maybe it comes before :-) --> bug 394129 I got this crash for TB 2.0.0.7pre or FF 2.0.0.10pre (20071105)
