User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Build Identifier: ac OS X; enMozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel M-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 I have tried to open a JPEG image, but Firefox is displaying a message about an error in image file. I thought it must be some problem with the image, but the image is properly displayed in Safari 2,and also I have played with the image using ImageMagick and there was no problems with it (not even a warning). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the following url: http://www.openfloodgate.com/image.htm?coverImageId=80 Actual Results: The image “http://www.openfloodgate.com/image.htm?coverImageId=80” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

re the image attached above (attachment 261014 [details]) and the image i retrieved from the URL on this bug (matching sha1's):
<@jeremy> so, gimp, mac preview, firefox, and the python imaging lib all say something different about that image
<@jeremy> gimp says rgb jpg (but implies that's what's being displayed not what's on disk even though i didn't tell it to convert and it's looking at the same image and i think displaying it fine)
<@jeremy> mac preview says jpeg cmyk but displays a different image (black bg vs white is the most noticeable diff) shipping safari in 10.4.9 and a recent webkit nightly both agree with preview on how to display the image
<@jeremy> firefox says it has an error
<@jeremy> PIL says it's cmyk and then if you tell it to display the image it generates a temp jpg and opens it with preview and it looks like what you got from gimp
<@jeremy> (but that jpg is rgb according to preview)
* jeremy decides that it's cmyk
