I've checked for this problem where the problem is similar to the one noted in the FF page this one is slightly diffrent.

i had a system freeze due to a system component erroring out and I had to hard power down my system I had 3 FF windows open in the background with a total of about 15 extensions and various GreasMonkey scripts.

once i restarted and opened FF i noticed 95% of my bookmarks where gone. thinking that they where all gone anyway i exported the remaning list and checked the damage to find out not a single bookmark was missing from the list. FF just isnt displaying them. I went into safe mode and restored the defaults and cleared the bookmarks/extension/passwords and cookies but the problem remains. I've even reinstalled FF to no effect.

<feel free to reassign this to a diffrent value if you feel its severity is exagerated...>

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.hard power down sys w/ FF runing
2.restart FF
3.discover missing bookmarks
4. explitives...
Actual Results:  
loss of bookmarks due to power loss to system, bookmarks still present in export and local files just not displayed. still present after reinstall.

Expected Results:  
bookmarks list in its entierty

rechecked files/legnths and sizes and confirmed that bookmarks where infact lost. large ammount of links in each folder threw me as to the actual number of bookmarks.

I have in fact lost my bookmakrs. this is a pre exsisting bug and should not be investigated.
