Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3

In the XHTML source code, an <input> is specified as disabled (<input disabled="disabled" />). After the page finishes loading, JavaScript enables the <input>. If the page is reloaded/refreshed, the <input> is NOT disabled, but remains fully editable. Revisiting the page works (e.g., going up to the address bar and pressing ENTER); the <input> is disabled again until the page finishes loading.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load page with disabled <input>s
2. Refresh page
Actual Results:
After the refresh, but before the page finished loading, the <input> remained fully editable, rather than being reset to disabled, as specified in the XHTML source.

Expected Results:
When the page was refreshed, but before the page finished loading, the <input> should have been reset to a disabled state, as specified in the XHTML source.

I was able to reproduce the behavior on an Ubuntu Linux 7.04 machine as well.
This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME

Can you please retest with Firefox 4, and then if you still see the issue, upload and attach a testcase to the bug?

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0

Clicking the URL bar and pressing Enter does reload the page and displayed the input as disabled, but F5 and clicking the "Reload current page" button don't get the input displayed as disabled.
