bookmarks tab blank with error message "xml parsing error:no element found location:chrome://browser/content/bookmarks line number1,column 1:" this problem has happened on several occasions since installing version 2.0 had to re-install a couple of times in the past is there a way of correcting this without re-installing it again

do you use extensions/themes - can you try if you see this error also in safe mode (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode) ?

as you requested i started computer in safe mode and the error was corrected so i restarted and disabled my current redshift v2 theme and used Firefox default theme the error was still present i checked what extension were in use"ad block,talk back,ie tab and yahoo tool bar i uninstall ed the yahoo tool bar restarted Firefox and the error had been corrected.the problem must be with the yahoo tool bar extension i normally don't use this software on my computer it was installed by another user thanks for putting me on the right track
