The site's icon is also displayed incorrectly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open an SVG file that contains a raster image inside it, like http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3c/Snellen.svg 2. Right-click on the raster image and select "View Image" from the context menu. 3. Observe location bar. Actual Results: Location bar displays garbage characters and site icon is corrupted. Expected Results: Location bar should display something sensible, and site icon should be displayed as usual.

Right clicking and choosing View Image changes the URL bar to a long data: URL, but the text is not overwritten by itself in the URL bar like the image in comment 1
It's just a long data: URL. It works fine on Mac trunk. See bug 302294 and friends. This might be fixed on trunk on Linux already too.
Summary: Location bar displays garbage if "View Image" is performed on a raster image inside an SVG file → Location bar displays garbage (overlapping characters) when it tries to display a very long URL
Duping to bug 257660 since its summary is similar (and because I had using dependencies when bugs should be marked as dupes).
