Extra wizard pages to easily pick your calendar(s) from a list would be nice. Somewhere I have a WiP patch, but this depends on making the UI more pluggable.

Maybe this is of help:

The free software "MyPhoneExplorer" has the option to synchronize Sony mobile phones with google calendar.

You just have to type in your google account name and password, and then you can choose your calendars conveniently from a list.

It would be great to have something like this for lightning!

Yes, this is exactly what I want to do, I have half of the code crufting somewhere in my home directory. Expect this in the 0.9 timeframe.
Flags: wanted-calendar0.9?
We will take patches if they materialize, but this should not be a focus area for 0.9.

With http://code.google.com/apis/calendar/developers_guide_protocol.html#RetrievingCalendars this should get easier.

No, unfortunately no progress at the moment. I have the same code crufting around, I need to take care of exams at the moment.

If you point me to the files which have to be edited, I could do some work .. if I find time for it :)

Evolution has implemented this, prehaps looking at their code/ reusing it might be easiest?

I am looking for a solution that allows me to select the calendar to which Would this fix allow me to select the calendar to which I want an event gets posted when I accept an invitation to an event embedded in an email. This isn't so much a bug as a functionality that doesn't seem to exist. Seems to be a similar issue, but perhaps just another place where a list needs to be available, when one gets implemented.

Widening this to all of calendar. This is good for other providers like caldav too and is part of the current summer of code project. I'd like to take this as the main bug.

I've written my first extention for the new calendar wizard.
It is now possible to read automatically calDav calendar and i've changed the design a bit. As a next step I want to implement other provider and I want to fix the last errors.

bug 378873, attachment 556923 [details].png

In Thunderbird 24.1.0, the XPI in attachment 556923 [details] generates an XML parsing error as shown in the attached screenshot.

XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location: chrome://calendar-wizard/content/calendarCreation.xul
Line Numer 315, Column 20:
With this bug fixed would that mean I could enter my Google credentials and then select all my available calendars without adding each of them separately?
That would be great!
