When I have several Tabs showing in the menu bar, and I select quit from the file menu, it locks up! I get a swirling colored ball. Then I do ALT-Control-ESC I get a menu saying FireFox is not responding,  then I force quit and do it again.

Any of those places will be able to walk you through making sure you've found a bug in the code that is reproducible, or find out what it is about your install that is breaking and fix it.

Alternately, you can try the standard diagnostic yourself - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic

If neither support nor the standard diagnostic clear up the issue, please reopen this bug and include all the steps you took.

Just now I had 3 Tabs and 2 items showing download in the bar. I went to FireFox and said quit. I got a spinning colored ball, and had to Option-Control-Esc, I showed FireFox Not resopnding.?????????????

Tom - verifying only verifies the resolution, not that the results are reproducible.

To do anything with this, we need you to at least go through the standard diagnostic. You'll find it more beneficial to contact support, though, as our support volunteers are very knowledgeable about what can go wrong to cause what and might even be able to correct the issue (if they do, please feel free to update the bug with what did it.)
