I sent an invite to an event to another user using Outlook 2003, from Lightning.
The user receives the event but isn't able to acknowledge it. Instead, he has a message saying "Cette réunion n'apparaît pas dans le calendrier ; il se peut qu'elle ait été déplacée ou effacée" which translates to "This meeting does not appear in the calendar; it may have been moved or erased".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an event in Lightning
2. Add the email address of contact and choose to notify by email
3. Receive invite in Outlook
Actual Results:  
Outlook user cannot acknowledge event

Expected Results:  
He should have been able to add the event to his calendar and reply to me

Also, note the Outlook user receives the invitation as an attached .ics which is not parsed as regular Outlook invitations are, but simply shown as an attachment.
This attachment, when double-clicked, shows event properties, but cannot be added or removed (buttons are disabled). That is when the message is seen: "This meeting
does not appear in the calendar; it may have been moved or erased"
